We are seeking an out-of-the-box thinking, dependable, hardworking Sales Solution Engineer based in the central states of the USA, with extensive energy industry experience. Applicants should be experienced problem solvers who can work effectively with our Sales team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand and quantify solutions including, but not limited to, LED, HVAC, refrigeration, water, gas, and renewable energy savings opportunities in various commercial businesses.
  • Assist with pre-sales opportunity qualification, discovery, solution analysis, and proposal development.
  • Read and understand architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Generate and assist with pre-sales opportunity qualification, discovery, solution analysis, and proposal development.
  • Interface with Sales Account Executives and customer prospects throughout the sales cycle, attending internal and external meetings.
  • Participate in the financial evaluation of sales opportunities using cost savings models and ROI analysis tools.
  • Assess feasibility and viability of opportunities through upgrades to various systems and analyze repair/replace scenarios.
  • Complete site surveys and analyses, gather data, review utility billing, and confirm solution requirements, presenting recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Improve estimation models through post-installation reviews.
  • Collaborate with Solutions and Operations teams to understand current solutions and provide feedback on customer trends.
  • Attend trade shows and events to support business development efforts.
  • Travel domestically 25-50% for site visits and events.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales support or installation experience in LED, HVAC, or refrigeration systems.
  • Experience with renewable energy sources, including solar.
  • Experience in conducting commercial energy or equipment audits.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for energy savings and the green economy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple sales opportunities.
  • Knowledge of industry principles related to LED, HVAC, refrigeration, water, gas, renewable energy, and telephony.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work remotely and independently.
  • Willingness to travel domestically 25-50%.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 with potential $10,000 bonus

Job Location: Central States - Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado - Remote, with travel.
