Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a field service professional to support power transformers, performing installation, commissioning, maintenance and repairs at customer sites. You will read electrical and mechanical drawings, operate oil processing equipment, and ensure safety and compliance in challenging field conditions.

The role requires travel up to 85% and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with an Associate Degree or a high school diploma plus experience.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of transformer field service operations and transformer field testing.
• Familiarity with transformer installation and assembly, vacuum and oil processing, and internal transformer components.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to travel up to 85%.
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on field service support for power transformers at customer sites.
• Install, commission, maintain, repair, upgrade, retrofit and replace transformer equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, manuals and instructions.
• Handle vacuum oil processing and oil handling equipment and maintain logs.
• Coordinate logistics for service jobs and support process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations and guidelines.
