Youwill perform electrical calculations for Power Transformers and preparecomprehensive electrical design documents.
Designparameters and dimensions of the active part of transformers to meetcustomer specifications, including losses, impedances, and noise levels.
Understandcustomer specifications and project requirements, preparing design reviewdocuments and technical reports.
Collaboratewith sales, mechanical design, manufacturing, quality, testing, andservice departments on technical topics related to electrical design.
Preparetechnical specifications for ordering components such as tap changers,bushings, and winding conductors.
Estimatequantities for offers/tenders and engage in technical discussions withcustomers during offer and order execution stages.
Youhold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
You have 5+ years of experience as a design engineer inPower Transformers, utilizing design software tools for medium or largetransformers above 100MVA/1450kV. Candidates with moreexperience may be considered for a higher level and vice versa.
Youare proficient in 2D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and have experience in2D/3D electromagnetic simulation and electrostatic analysis.
Ifnot already located in Charlotte, NC, must be willing to relocate(relocation assistance may be provided).
Applicantsmust be legally authorized for employment in the United States. SiemensEnergy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible forinternal transfers.
