SGB-SMIT USA is seeking a Drafter/Designer to design and provide technical support, manufacturing instructions, and drawings for Power Transformers. Proficiency with AutoCAD to meet standards and customer requirements is essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a technical program (electrical/mechanical) or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years drafting experience.
• Proficiency with CAD software and ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design and provide technical support, manufacturing instructions, and drawings related to Power Transformers.
• Demonstrated experience and high proficiency working with AutoCAD to create mechanical designs that meet various standards, codes and customer requirements
• Review customers’ specifications and mechanical drawings to determine requirements with respect to manufacturing.
• Review one-line diagrams to determine the necessary changes required to meet the customer’s specification.
• Provide technical support for shop floor personnel on manufacturing, mechanical-related issues.
• Confer with engineering staff to resolve problems and develop new cost-effective methods.
• Interface with personnel developing quotations and provide guidance and recommendations
