Job summary

Cross Company in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Power Tool Repair Technician to maintain and repair fastening tooling in our plant. The role involves electrical/mechanical diagnostics, calibration, and preventative maintenance to keep production lines running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has an A.A.S. in a technical field or related experience, strong mechanical and electronic skills, and the ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. You’ll join a hands-on, results-driven team.

Qualifications

• A.A.S. technical degree or related field or military experience preferred
• Strong mechanical/electronic background in an industrial setting
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Maintenance or repair of torque related process equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Install, test, calibrate, and repair mechanical tools
• Coordinate and perform preventative maintenance
• Document repair and maintenance activity in company systems
• Be knowledgeable of repair/calibration methods and procedures
• Document non-conformances and identify reliability trends
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Maintain good attendance and productive work ethic
• Work overtime, weekends and holidays as assigned
