Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is offering an Internship: Software Engineering in Plymouth, MN for a twelve-week program. You’ll gain hands-on experience with power system devices and modern software practices, within a global engineering environment.

Work includes .NET and C# development, planning and estimation, unit testing, CI integration, design reviews, and collaboration with seasoned engineers to translate requirements into software stories.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in CS/SE/CE with graduation after Dec 2027.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8; preference for 3.2+.
• No immigration sponsorship or CPT/OPT/STEM OPT support.

Responsibilities

• Implement features to configure, monitor, and update power system devices using .NET and C#.
• Translate requirements into software stories, development tasks, and unit tests.
• Collaborate with managers, systems engineers, and lead engineers on software work.
• Contribute to planning, estimation, coding, unit testing, reviews, and releases.
• Participate in subsystem analysis and CI integration, as well as design reviews.
