Job summary
Hitachi Energy's Raleigh, North Carolina research center seeks a Research Scientist in Power Systems to lead transformative R&D across grid control, simulation, and optimization. The ideal candidate holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with power-systems specialization, is fluent in English, and proficient in Python or C++.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power Systems.
- Deep understanding of power system dynamics and control mechanisms.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Programming in Python or C++.
- Need work authorization to work in the United States for Hitachi Energy.
Responsibilities
- Lead R&D projects in power systems and related fields.
- Collaborate with a global team to solve real-world challenges for customers.
- Develop novel ideas for next-generation power systems.
- Disseminate results through publications, patents, and technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations and guidelines.
