Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Power Systems Engineer based at the Bastrop, TX site to lead electrical infrastructure projects from design through commissioning. You will collaborate with multiple disciplines to deliver critical power solutions for SpaceX facilities and operations, including coordination with utility providers and on-site contractors.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in electrical engineering (or related) and 3+ years of experience in power distribution for industrial/commercial facilities,

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team, consulting engineers and contractors throughout the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning process for power-specific scope items
• Develop and issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for aerospace, industrial, and commercial type projects
• Write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts with subcontractors across multiple disciplines through contract close-out
• Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field in real-time
• Coordinate with electrical utility provider for design/engineering to ensure reliable power service to critical site infrastructure
• Interact with engineers, contractors, vendors, fabricators, and project stakeholders
