Job summary

Washington State University in Pullman invites applications for a permanent, full-time tenure-track faculty position in Electrical Engineering at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, with emphasis on power systems and the integration of machine learning and cybersecurity.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, establish a funded research program, supervise students, and contribute to the Energy Systems Innovation Center and AGI collaborations.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field by the time of hire.
• Demonstrated record of publishing peer-reviewed research work in leading journals and research conferences.
• Demonstrated strong commitment to building a world-class research program at WSU.
• Proven or potential for successful teaching and instruction.
• Demonstrated record of or potential for commitment to an inclusive educational experience in alignment with WSU’s land grant mission.
• For Associate Professor: six years post-Ph.D. experience and experience advising students and leading funded research.

Responsibilities

• Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in electrical engineering.
• Conduct funded research and publish in top-tier venues.
• Direct M.S. and Ph.D. student research programs.
• Participate in teaching assessment and collaborate with the School, University, and regional partners.
