Job summary

KBR Mission Technology Solutions seeks a Generator Technician for an OCONUS, 100% onsite role. You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot generator systems to ensure power reliability for mission-critical operations.

Requires a SECRET clearance with upgrade potential to TS/SCI w/ Poly, 8+ years in generator work (3 in lead), and ability to work on-call and rotating shifts. Safety and teamwork are essential at KBR.

Qualifications

  • Active SECRET clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI w/ Poly.
  • Eight (8)+ years of professional Generator experience, three (3) in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Experience troubleshooting engines, fuel systems, controls, and generators using prints, diagrams and specs.
  • Experience maintaining and operating megawatt rated high amperage and high voltage generators.
  • Knowledge of working with and monitoring contracted maintenance services.
  • Willingness to work on-call, rotational shifts, and nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting engines, fuel systems, controls, and generators using prints, diagrams, and specifications.
  • Maintenance and operation of megawatt rated high amperage and high voltage generators.
  • Monitoring contracted maintenance services.
  • Provide guidance and oversight for supervised personnel.

Who YOU Are

You’re a skilled Generator Technician with a strong background in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of generator systems. Your expertise ensures that critical power solutions are reliable and ready to support mission success for our customers. You excel at diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and conducting preventative maintenance, ensuring that generators operate at peak performance in any environment. At KBR, you bring a detail-oriented approach and a commitment to safety to every project. Known for your problem-solving skills and technical proficiency, you work effectively both independently and as part of a team, collaborating with other professionals to ensure that power systems are always operational and compliant with industry standards. What You WILL DO
  • Troubleshooting: Capable of troubleshooting engines, fuel systems, controls, and generators using prints, diagrams, and specifications.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Capable of maintaining and operating megawatt rated high amperage and high voltage generators.
  • Monitoring: Knowledge of working with and monitoring contracted maintenance services.
  • Oversight: Provide guidance and oversight for any person under your supervision.
  • Schedule: Willingness to work on-call, rotational shifts, and nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Safety Compliance: Implement and uphold safety protocols during all operations, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate activities and ensure seamless operations during power outages or emergencies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance generator performance and operational efficiency.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to generator failures and emergencies, providing on-site support to restore power quickly and efficiently.

This is a contingent position based upon contract award and will be located OCONUS.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Requires an active SECRET clearance, with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI w/ Poly High school diploma, Vocational or Trade school Graduate or equivalent apprenticeship.
  • Eight (8)+ years of professional Generator experience, three (3) of which are in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Experience troubleshooting engines, fuel systems, controls, and generators using prints, diagrams and specifications.
  • Experience maintaining and operating megawatt rated high amperage and high voltage generators.
  • Knowledge of working with and monitoring contracted maintenance services.
  • Willingness to work on-call, rotational shifts, and nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
