Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. is seeking a field professional to support overhead and underground distribution survey and maintenance. The role involves patrolling rights of way, carrying tools, and collaborating with teams to gather information.

You will contribute to technical reporting and develop job knowledge while working in varied terrain and weather conditions, prioritizing safety and teamwork.

Qualificações

• Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering Technology with 6-9 years of utility industry experience.
• Moderate computer literacy.
• Ability to perform with minimal coaching and mentor others.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.

Responsabilidades

• Patrol distribution line damage in various terrains and adverse conditions.
• Carry and use a 11 lb telescopic measuring and switching stick.
• Clear brush as needed to access survey areas.
• Prepare technical reports and assist in technical documentation.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.

Elliot is a full-service electrical contractor specializing in overhead and underground distribution, transmission, substations, lighting, traffic signaling, utility locating and industrial/commercial services.

Job Description

• Walk right of ways various terrain in potentially adverse conditions to patrol distribution line damage
• Carry and handle telescopic measuring stick and switching stick that weigh approximately 11 lbs.
• May be required to use a brush axe or machete to clear brush for walking and staking during survey work
• Demonstrate ability to work with others in supplying information and seeking assistance as necessary
• Applies technical knowledge and experience in resolving problems encountered in assigned work
• Uses initiative in looking for opportunities to improve the process and increase job knowledge/technical skills
• Communicates effectively both orally and in writing with other employees and customers
• Assists in the preparation of technical reports and papers.
• Develops decision making skills based on job knowledge.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering Technology plus 6-9 years of related utility industry work experience
• Possess detailed knowledge of equipment, materials, systems, and business processes
• Possess moderate computer literacy skills.
• Perform work activities as assigned with little to no coaching from more experienced employees and mentoring lesser experienced employees
• Valid Driver's License and Safe Driving Record required.
