Job summary

Mission Critical Group (MCG) is seeking engineering interns for the Power Systems division in Idaho. Interns will work independently and with staff on engineering design, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD drawings across mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing projects.

Responsibilities include designing products for internal and customer use, ensuring drawings align with production, and conducting tests with safety and quality in mind. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a degree program leading to a BS or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Experience or coursework in designing and producing metal structures, electrical power equipment and wiring, systems integration and testing, or airflow/noise/heat transfer analysis.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design of products needed internal to MCG.
• Participate in the design of products that MCG is providing to its customers.
• Ensure designs and drawings are consistent with production capabilities and flow.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers, project managers, production personnel, planners, purchasing, and Quality to complete designs and analyses.
• Assess the readiness of solutions to progress to the next stage of development or production.
• Plan, manage, and conduct tests and analyze the results.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and codes during production.
• Present new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies, and concepts to the team.
• Document processes.
• Perform other job-related responsibilities as assigned.
