Job summary

Google is seeking an experienced Data Center Engineer to shape the future of our global data centers. You will lead the design and optimization of electrical and power systems, working across healthcare-grade facilities to scale infrastructure for the AI era.

You will collaborate with Hardware, Software, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to drive revolutionary development initiatives and ensure compliance with codes and standards. Individual pay varies by skill and education.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
12 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction environments.

Responsibilities

Lead design and optimization of data center equipment, systems, and global operational strategies.
Oversee system development across electrical, power, energy, and control systems to optimize design efficiency.
Analyze system performance data and present technical tradeoffs to executives; collaborate to design for constructability, reducing costs and delivery times.
Refine engineering processes to eliminate waste while scaling successful practices.
Influence cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions and align on shared goals.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure alignment across departments.
