Job summary
Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a Power Systems Engineer 2 or 3 at the Bacchus facility in Magna, Utah. You will work on multi-disciplinary teams designing and implementing power and control systems for industrial processes, including low- and medium-voltage distribution, PLCs, and automation equipment.
The role requires strong design experience, ability to read electrical drawings, and hands-on field work; security clearance is not required for start but some positions may demand it, and
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and 2 years industrial facility or electrical design experience OR 0 years with Masters.
- Experience designing low- and medium-voltage power systems.
- Willing to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (Level 3).
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a multi-disciplined project team.
- Comprehensive power system design, control systems, and machine safety experience.
- Ability to manage large complex projects with skills in power, control and electrical industrial automation.
- Design power and control systems for industrial process equipment used in manufacturing of solid propulsion rocket motors, manufacturing facilities and equipment.
- Develop control philosophies and P&ID’s.
- Oversee installation and startup of designed systems with internal craft and outside contractors.
- Develop drawing packages using AutoCAD.
