Job summary

Salas O’Brien, Irvine office is seeking an Electrical CAD/BIM Designer to develop design and construction documents for electrical power systems under supervision of Senior Engineers.

Ideal candidates have an Associate/technical BIM degree and 3-5 years of electrical power design drafting experience, with proficiency in Revit, SKM, and EasyPower. Base salary is hourly with performance bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate or technical degree from a design/drafting/BIM program.
• 3-5 years electrical power design drafting/modeling experience.
• Experience with power model tools (SKM and EasyPower) is highly desired.
• Design experience in AC service and distribution, DC power and distribution, standby generators, UPS, grounding, lighting, security and fire protection is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical system drawings/models of a given project based on scope of work, client RFPs, and direction from Senior Engineers.
• Coordinate drawings/model with other disciplines, including HVAC, controls, fire protection, structural and architectural scopes.
