Position Summary

The role is that of a Power Systems Assessor and is available for both office-based and fully remote assignments, depending on the candidate.
Location
Position is located in any of K2M's office locations, or fully remote for the right candidate.
Overview
Individual responsible for a variety of projects, including scheduling and budgeting. Manages substantial, continuing service accounts, follows established procedures and techniques for projects, assists in writing reports, cost estimates, coordinating engineering plans, and reviewing completed plans and specifications. Ensures the project team is aware of any deficiencies or potential problems that may occur.

Essential Duties
- Maintain secure business partnerships and relationships with key clients, consultants, groups, organizations, and teams.
- Bring a positive attitude into the office/worksite and represent K2M Design professionally on client sites.
- Keep project workload confidential and refrain from posting on social media.
- Coordinate with the Team Leader, K2M Project Manager, and if unavailable, the Director for all project-related tasks.
- Review and understand condition assessment practices and procedures.
- Attend all department meetings and follow up on decisions that affect work practices.
- Provide technical advice and resolve problems in consultation with the Team Leader.
- Execute multiple projects simultaneously.
- Perform minimal drafting work as required to meet client expectations.

Requirements
- Experience in electrical construction, project management, and troubleshooting is a plus, but not required.
- Electrical license preferred, not required. Ability to identify or learn to identify NEC code issues.
- Comfortable using computer programs such as MS Office, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to identify or learn to identify architectural elements and MEP systems beyond electrical trade (e.g., structural, HVAC, refrigeration).
- Clean driver’s license, no DUI or serious infractions.
- Ability to climb ladders and lift items up to 50 lbs.
- Available for travel as needed – 60‑80 % of work time may be spent traveling alone or with a team.
- Responsible for maintaining, storing, and transporting all K2M provided tools and PPE to the jobsite.
