Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to join the Operations IT team and design, implement, support, and enhance OT systems for power generation, dispatch, and energy market operations.

The role requires SCADA/EMS/GMS experience, strong systems integration skills, and a solid understanding of utility environments. You will partner with operators and engineers to improve reliability and drive continuous improvement across the renewable energy platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or Power Systems Engineering.
• 3+ years of systems and application development, configuration, implementation, and support experience.
• 3+ years of experience with power systems applications within power generation or distribution.
• 3+ years of SCADA/EMS/GMS experience (ABB Ranger/Network Manager, OSI Monarch, or similar).
• Experience with systems integrations, interfaces, and process flows.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and project management methodologies.
• Experience supporting and maintaining business-critical applications in cloud and data center environments.

This individual will join the Operations IT team and play a critical role in designing, implementing, supporting, and enhancing operational technology systems that support power generation, dispatch, and energy market operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working with SCADA, EMS, and GMS platforms, strong systems integration expertise, and a solid understanding of utility or power generation environments. This person will partner closely with business stakeholders, operators, and technical teams to improve operational efficiency, maintain mission-critical systems, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across a growing renewable energy organization.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Power Systems Engineering
• 3+ years of systems and application development, configuration, implementation, and support experience
• 3+ years of experience with power systems applications within power generation or distribution
• 3+ years of SCADA/EMS/GMS experience (ABB Ranger/Network Manager, OSI Monarch, or similar)
• Experience with systems integrations, interfaces, and process flows

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Master's degree
• Deep technical expertise in configuring and maintaining complex systems and applications
