Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Power Profiling Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will
have strong experience working with hardware platforms, power testing, and automation using
Python scripting. You will be responsible for setting up lab environments, conducting detailed
power measurements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize system
performance. A good understanding of ASIC architecture and behavior is essential for success in
this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform power profiling and analysis across multiple hardware platforms.
Set up and maintain lab environments, including hardware, instrumentation, and software
tools.
Develop and execute test plans for power measurement and validation.
Create Python-based scripts and automation frameworks to streamline testing and data
collection.
Analyze power data, generate detailed reports, and present findings to engineering teams.
Collaborate closely with ASIC, system architecture, validation, and software teams to
identify power optimization opportunities.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues encountered during power profiling and
testing.
Maintain thorough documentation of test setups, procedures, and results.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with embedded systems, mobile platforms, SoC
(System-on-Chip) environments, or related hardware.
Testing Expertise: Experience in executing structured power and performance testing
workflows.
Python Scripting: Strong proficiency in Python for automation, data analysis, and
testing.
Lab Environment Experience: Hands-on experience with setting up, maintaining, and
troubleshooting lab hardware and equipment.
ASIC Understanding: Basic to intermediate knowledge of ASIC design concepts, power
domains, and system architecture.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with power measurement tools such as Monsoon, Power Monitor, or similar.
Familiarity with data visualization tools for interpreting power and performance results.
Prior experience with validation or silicon bring-up activities.
Knowledge of low-power design techniques and power management frameworks.
