Base pay range

$85.00/hr - $100.00/hr

Are you an experienced Hardware Design Engineer with a desire to excel? If so, then Talent Software Services may have the job for you! Our client is seeking an experienced Hardware Design Engineer to work at their company in Mountain View, CA.

Position Summary: Purpose of the Team: The team is part of the AI SOC organization, focusing on developing AI SOCs internally. They are responsible for characterizing and validating the SOCs before they are handed over to the system teams for data center integration. Key Projects: The primary project involves power and thermal analysis of the SOCs, including data collection and validation in the lab.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Typical Task Breakdown and Operating Rhythm:

• Minimal meetings, approximately one hour per day for task clarity.
• The majority of the time is spent on data collection and analysis.
• Weekly task tracking and reporting, with a focus on the quality of data and analysis.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in SoC or system-level Power Analysis
• Understanding of ML/AI workloads is preferred
• Knowledge of lab power measurement and analysis techniques
• Hands-on lab experience in executing test cases for server/mobile/custom devices
• Understanding of power-performance architecture and trade-offs
• Excellent collaborative and organizational skills, including written and verbal communication
• Demonstrates innovative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
• Some experience with test automation
• Demonstrates ability to Triage/Debug post-si issues
• Years of Experience Required: 10+ years in the field, with at least 5 years in SOC power validation.
• Degrees or Certifications Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science (CS) or Electrical Engineering (EE).
• Performance Indicators: Task completion and quality of data and analysis.
• Python Coding Experience: Minimum 10 years.
• SOC Power Analysis: Minimum 10 years.
• Lab Equipment Familiarity: Minimum 10 years.
