Base pay range

$90.00/hr - $100.00/hr

Are you an experienced Hardware Design Engineer with a desire to excel? If so, then Talent Software Services may have the job for you! Our client is seeking an experienced Hardware Design Engineer to work at their company in Mountain View, CA.

Position Summary: Work on silicon architecture, designing the overall structure and functionality of silicon chips.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• C/C++ test and test platform development
• Python scripting for test vector generation
• IP block hardware model development in C/C++

Expectations include working with limited direction, paying attention to detail, and providing clear status updates on progress, issues, and risks to the management team.

Typical Task Breakdown and Operating Rhythm: The role consists of 10% meetings (two technical meetings a week, one 1:1 meeting for 15-30 minutes with the reporting manager a week), and 90% focused work. Note that there may be more meetings initially while ramping up.

Qualifications:

• Years of Experience Required: 8-10 years in the field.
• Degrees or Certifications Required: BS/MS in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience (more experience is required if without a degree).
• Silicon architecture or microarchitecture experience
• Understanding of floating-point formats (IEEE/non-IEEE) and FP arithmetic
• Team player with excellent communication skills and a growth mindset
• Minimum 5 years of experience with C/C++.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Python.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with software test writing or test platform development.
