Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI is seeking a Product Development Engineer for Power Supply System Calibration to develop alternator and voltage controls for gas engines, EVs and Hybrids. You will calibrate in the powertrain control module and release calibrations into Ford system software.

The role requires hands-on experience with ATI Vision, INCA, CANalyzer and CANoe, as well as Matlab modeling. You will help deliver reliable electrical calibration across dynamic vehicle programs while

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related Engineering field.
3+ years of experience in Product Development, preferably in Calibration.
Experience performing electrical control system calibration in the automotive industry using ATI Vision and INCA.
Experience gathering vehicle CAN and LIN network data using Vector CANalyzer and Intrepid tools.
Knowledge of CAN/CAN-FD AUTOSAR and Cyber securities.
Familiar with CANalyzer and CANoe tool for testing, and CAPL script for field debugging.
Familiar with Matlab modeling, code generation, debugging and model testing.

Responsibilities

Development of calibration for alternator control torque manager, engine idle stability for electrical transients, alternator voltage set point controls, and alternator diagnostics.
Release the calibration into Ford system software
Support powertrain development trips for engine calibration
