Qualifications

Must have a 4-year degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent experience.
Experience with Primavera and Timberline estimating software.
Complete knowledge of the front end of specifications including bid form, bid requirements, bonds, minority requirements, general conditions, building permits, safety site restrictions and staffing of projects.
Strong computer skills, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

Quantify project quantities using on screen and manual take off tools.
Assemble estimates into project estimates for intermediary budgeting and bid day submittals.
Review preliminary plans and architectural drawings for the project.
Determine material and labor requirements and prepare itemized lists.
Maintain relationships with suppliers and equipment vendors to monitor pricing and negotiate rates.
