Job summary

Vistra Corp is seeking a Development Manager to lead power generation project development across multiple technologies, including simple/combined cycle gas turbines, utility-scale solar, and energy storage, within the MISO/PJM/NYISO/ISO-NE markets.

The role oversees all development activities from concept to construction, coordinating land use, permitting, interconnection, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years relevant experience in development, strategy, contracts, and project management.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to negotiate and persuade others.
• Experience in Midwest or Northeast development is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute project development strategy in the region.
• Accountable for all related aspects of project development for an assigned site, including permitting and land acquisition.
• Work with origination team to cultivate customer relationships.
• Work with internal/external resources on project transactions.
• Responsible for budget and driving profitability of utility-scale projects on assigned sites.
