Job summary

VoltaGrid LLC in Houston, TX seeks a Cost Controller to lead full lifecycle project cost management for power infrastructure projects. You will develop budgets, track commitments, forecast variances, and provide cost intelligence to leadership.

The role supports EAC/ETC forecasts, earned value reports, and cost control across EPCC activities, liaising with Finance and executive stakeholders. Requires 5–10 years in cost control on large capital projects.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of cost control, project controls, or capital cost management experience.
• Minimum of 3 years supporting power, energy, utility, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience on large capital projects; preference for projects >$100 million.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, pivot tables, variance analysis, and dashboard development.
• Experience with ERP or project management systems; NetSuite preferred.
• Familiarity with earned value management, change control, forecasting, accruals, and integrated cost-schedule reporting.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the project cost baseline, budget breakdown, and control estimate.
• Monitor committed costs, actual expenditure, and forecast-to-complete across all project phases (EPCC).
• Maintain cost accounts aligned to WBS and CBS.
• Identify, investigate, and report cost variances; track corrective actions.
• Review contractor progress claims, milestone payments, and change orders.
• Prepare weekly/monthly cost reports including actuals, commitments, forecasts, and variances.
