Job summary

World Wide Technology (WWT) is seeking a Power Platform Developer for its Government Services team in Washington, DC. You will modernize legacy .NET/SharePoint apps by reimagining them with Power Platform and guiding users to intuitive, future-ready solutions that support the mission at the U.S.

Department of State. Responsibilities include designing Power Apps/Power Automate solutions, leveraging Dataverse and external sources, and mentoring users while ensuring security governance and high UX

Qualifications

5+ years in IT solution development, including 2+ years focused on Power Platform.
Proven experience modernizing legacy applications and integrating APIs or enterprise data sources
Deep knowledge of Power Fx, Dataverse schema design, and solution architecture
Strong mentoring and communication skills—comfortable coaching users through app maintenance
Familiarity with M365, Power BI, and basic scripting (PowerShell, JavaScript)
Must have active Secret clearance
Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals; Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate

Responsibilities

Assess & Strategize legacy apps to determine modernization paths (refactor, rebuild, replace).
Design & Develop end-to-end Power Apps and Power Automate workflows leveraging Dataverse and external data sources.
Prototype proofs of concept demonstrating low-code capabilities.
Enable & Empower business users and citizen developers to extend, maintain, and optimize apps.
Document & Educate with clear documentation and hands-on training for technical and non-technical audiences.
Champion Best Practices for scalable architecture, UX/UI, data governance, and security compliance.
