Job summary

Constellation Inc. is seeking a Power Platform Data Analyst to join our hybrid team in Washington, DC. You will analyze data, build automated reports, and develop Power Apps applications to streamline data collection and visualization.

You will work with client systems and SharePoint, creating dashboards and data models to support decision-makers. Must have 4+ years in BI and strong SQL skills, with citizenship requirements for federal projects.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analysis or related discipline.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in BI, data analytics, or reporting.
  • Experience with BI platforms such as PowerApps, Power BI, or SharePoint forms.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying, transforming, and analyzing data.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective dashboards.
  • Experience creating data visualizations in Power BI, Tableau or similar tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain MS Power Apps applications for data collection and automated reports.
  • Collaborate with the client to deploy applications across the organization for field use.
  • Assist in exploring, categorizing, and reviewing data for curation and visualization.
  • Clean, transform, and model data to support decision-making.
  • Access and analyze data from client systems and external sources (e.g., Dynamics, Excel, SharePoint).
  • Validate data and develop visuals (graphics, charts, dashboards) for decision makers.
  • Create and manage program-level dashboards feeding agency-level dashboards.
  • Review database architecture and data policies; suggest improvements.
  • Develop documentation and gather data supporting program goals; update SharePoint.

Job Description

Power Platform Data Analyst (Hybrid)

Job Summary

Provide statistical and data analytical knowledge by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, and data manipulation requests. Utilize various programs to collect, clean, and display data sources, analysis, strategies and methodologies. Use MS Power Apps to build and maintain data repositories and automate the collection and dissemination and presentation of information. Expand efforts to automate key client management processes and data points.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and maintaining applications in MS Power Apps to collect field inputs, developing automated reports and workflows and capture previously manually created information in a digital platform.
  • Working with the client to implement applications across the organization for field use.
  • Supporting client in exploring, categorizing, and reviewing data in all its forms, and developing solutions for curation and visualization.
  • Inspecting, cleaning, transforming and modelling data with the goal of discovering useful information, informing conclusions and supporting decision-making.
  • Accessing, utilizing, and analyzingdata from client systems and external commercial products, (such as MS Dynamics, Azure, Excel, MS Access, Case Management Systems, SharePoint, etc)
  • Reviewing and validatingdata to assist in developing applications and data visualization (graphics, charts, tables, websites, training materials) that focus on reducing manual and redundant processes and develop pertinent business information for decision makers.
  • Creatingand managingmultiple program-level dashboards that directly feed agency level dashboards and placemats, representing all programs in the security portfolios.
  • Reviewing database architecture and data control policies and offer recommendations for utilization, improvements, or new investments.
  • Assisting with developing documentation and collecting data that supports program goals and objectives; update security information on organization SharePoint sites.
Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS CBP Tier 5 Background Investigation (BI).
  • BS degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analysis or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or reporting roles.
  • Highly experienced in using BI platforms such as PowerApps, Power BI, or SharePoint forms and lists.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying, transforming, and analyzing data across large datasets
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into effective dashboards
  • Experience creating data visualizations in multiple tools including Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization programs
Additional Requirements
  • Be a U.S. citizen able to pass a background investigation by the client agency
  • Must be able to commute to client site periodically.
  • Position is Hybrid / Remote, in Washington, DC.
