Job summary

FuelCell Energy seeks a Test and Conditioning Technician in Torrington to join our manufacturing team. You will oversee the final stages of the production line, installing the fuel cell to balance of plant, operating and maintaining equipment, and monitoring heat-up and cool-down cycles to ensure performance specs are met for shipment.

The role requires hands-on electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, a proactive mindset, and the ability to collaborate with engineers and supervisors to resolve

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; AS Degree preferred.
• Experience: 1 year of power plant operations/maintenance or troubleshooting experience.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform checks and line-ups before heat-up.
• Set up, calibrate, test and troubleshoot circuits and mechanical assemblies.
• Develop test specifications and procedures from blueprints/diagrams.
• Test and troubleshoot final assemblies and systems.
• Prepare technical reports with findings and solutions.
