Job summary

FuelCell Energy is seeking a Mechanical Technician for our Torrington, CT facility. The role involves disassembly, repair, overhaul, and refurbishment of fuel cell power generating equipment, with hands-on testing and diagnostics using standard tools and calibration procedures.

Successful candidates will maintain documentation and collaborate with internal teams. Ideal applicants have an AS or related certificate, 3+ years on industrial equipment, and are willing to travel up to 50% domestically

Qualifications

• Education/certification aligned to electronics, engineering, or manufacturing tech.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on with industrial equipment; large power gen is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally, including Asia.

Responsibilities

• Disassembly, repair, overhaul, and refurbishment of fuel cell power equipment.
• Mechanical and electrical testing and analysis using proper tools and calibration.
• Diagnostics on mechanical hardware and software per established procedures.
• Maintain documentation: inventory, parts, cost reduction, maintenance records.
• Communicate technically with internal and external stakeholders.
