Job summary

Sanford Health in Fargo, ND is seeking a Power Plant Technician to operate, maintain, and service power plant equipment including boilers, engines, centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and related systems. You will monitor building automation, diagnose control issues, and keep daily logs of major operating equipment.

You must read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals, with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Trade or Vo-Tech school in a related area preferred.
Experience in operation, maintenance, and repair of power production equipment, boilers, centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, water treatment related systems.

Responsibilities

Operates, maintains, and services power plant equipment including engines, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and motors.
Monitors and diagnoses control issues on systems integral to building operation.
Oversees and monitors building automation systems and directs issues to maintenance.
Keeps daily log sheets on major operating equipment; reads blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
Demonstrates strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
