Job summary

Energy Solutions in Casper, WY, seeks an experienced Power Plant Technician to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems across Energy Solutions power plant products. You will work under a rotating schedule and help maintain service contracts while supporting multiple sites.

The role requires knowledge of Caterpillar equipment, safety discipline, and ability to read prints and interpret technical data. Travel to service sites and proactive documentation are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience maintaining and repairing multiple types of power plant equipment, power systems, and heavy industrial/natural gas and diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
• Direct experience with Caterpillar equipment.
• Identify various fasteners and their uses.
• Identify and describe the importance of onsite and personal safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical systems from low to high voltage.
• Perform monthly inspections of power generation equipment.
• Inspect and diagnose customer equipment using diagnostic tools.
• Remove, repair or replace components on engines, hydraulic systems, brake systems, electrical systems, on-board diagnostic systems, air systems, fuel systems, transmissions and related power train systems.
• Ensure repairs meet/exceed the expectations of the Service Contracts & Equipment Manager/Service & Commissioning Engineering Team/customer.
• Review data to prepare detailed and cost-effective parts orders and estimates.
• Safely operate Energy Solutions products.
