Job summary

Responsibilities include operating heavy equipment, handling bulk chemicals, and supporting standard procedures to improve plant reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 years related experience including health and safety regulations and working with hazardous energy, chemicals and waste materials.
• Experience using test equipment and calibration devices.
• Experience with machinery repair and control systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of chemistry, physics, electricity and mathematics.
• Valid state driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Start, stop and monitor equipment; read gauges and meters and log activities.
• Use computers and monitoring equipment to measure, record and adjust operating parameters.
• Perform maintenance tasks including diagnosis, repair of mechanical and electrical equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform overhaul maintenance and system improvements to enhance plant efficiency, reliability and safety.
• Maintain chemistry logs and monitor chemical control on steam, cooling, and condensate systems.
• Assist in development of standard operating procedures and support plant improvement items.
