Job summary

Vistra Energy is seeking a Plant Operator to oversee the gas plant from the Control Room, including startups and shutdowns, alarm responses, and coordination with maintenance teams.

You will ensure safe, efficient plant operation, monitor equipment, and participate in the Plant Operator Selection System process if required. The role may be based in Pardeesville, PA, with field duties.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• 2–4 years of related experience.
• Pass Plant Operator Selection System / POSS / MASS program.
• Demonstrate effective oral & verbal communications skills.
• Demonstrate standard computer-based skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and control gas plant systems from the Control Room.
• Coordinate maintenance and respond to alarms and equipment issues.
• Promote safe, reliable operation and adherence to safety procedures.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and calibrate plant equipment.
• Develop and follow plant operating procedures.
