Job summary

Vistra Energy is seeking a Plant Operator to oversee and control power plant systems from the Control Room, start/stop operations, respond to alarms, and coordinate maintenance while honoring commercial commitments.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on gas plant equipment, promote safe, reliable operation, and train others in area of expertise, with opportunity for progression to higher levels based on skill and experience.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of related experience.
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, repairs, and maintains plant equipment.
• Operates and monitors plant systems from Control Room.
• Responds to alarms and equipment issues.
• Coordinates maintenance and supports plant operations during shift.
• Develops and implements plant operating procedures.
• Ensures safety, health and environmental procedures are followed.
