Job summary

Responsibilities include surveillance of generation equipment, safe operation, updating procedures, training, cleaning, and assisting in other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma in electrical, instrument, mechanical, or power plant related field.
• 2 years of operations experience in a power generation or heavy industrial environment with a high school diploma or GED/HSED.
• 2 years of power plant or industrial maintenance experience with a high school diploma or GED/HSED.
• 2 years of related military experience with a high school diploma or GED/HSED.

Responsibilities

• Monitor electricity generation equipment by following set standards for inspection and take corrective actions as needed.
• Operate generation equipment within design specifications using DAS, local controls or manual methods, following safety practices.
• Update operational procedures when required and participate in training activities.
• Perform cleaning and housekeeping to maintain a safe workplace and provide on‑the‑job training for others.
• Assist with duties in other departments under direction of a qualified union person.
