Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, strong communication abilities, and NIULPE/ASPE Fourth Class licensed status or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication.
• NIULPE or ASPE Fourth Class license, or 4 years of equivalent power engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Operates air compressor, boilers, and auxiliary equipment to furnish air and steam for power, heat and processing.
• Work from scheduled power needs, check lists, and follow established procedures.
• Start and shut down equipment; change over boilers as directed.
• Regulate firing and output to safely meet system needs.
• Check equipment periodically; recognize and report defective or malfunctioning equipment; assist in boiler room maintenance.
