Job summary

ONW is seeking an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Manager in San Diego, CA to lead daily plant operations and maintenance, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and reliability. The role supports the Plant Manager in achieving environmental and profitability objectives and oversees budgeting and reporting.

The ideal candidate has a engineering degree and 7+ years in power generation or equivalent leadership experience, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline is required.
• 7+ years in power generation or equivalent experience may substitute for the degree.
• Previous second-line supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day plant operations and maintenance; provide leadership and direction.
• Assist Plant Manager with achieving safety, environmental, profitability and reliability objectives.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safety of employees, contractors and visitors.
• Interface with regulators, political and community representatives as directed.
• Develop and administer O&M and Capital budgets; prepare reports.
• Travel occasionally as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost efficiency.
