Job summary

Calqulate Metrics Ltd seeks a Plant Manager to direct all Operations and Maintenance activities at the plant. You will ensure adequate manpower, tools, equipment, and spare parts for safe and efficient operation, while complying with safety, environmental, and power-generation requirements.

You will oversee safety programs, outages, training, hiring, and reporting, reporting to the Operations Director and supervising plant personnel. Strong leadership and NERC compliance experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
• 10 years of power plant or similar experience.
• Three years of experience supervising technical, supervisory, and administrative personnel.
• Gas turbine experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct the plant's Safety, Operations, NERC Compliance, Maintenance, Administrative, Training, Chemistry and Environmental QA/QC programs to assure safe, efficient operation.
• Manage and oversee the performance of planned and unplanned plant outages.
• Implement training and qualification programs to assure that plant procedures are understood and followed.
• Direct the sourcing, screening and hiring of new or replacement personnel as needed.
• Verify that certification status of affected operation and maintenance personnel is maintained current.
• Ensure morale and motivation of plant personnel is maintained at a high level.
• Oversee preparation of client and utility reports, budgets, environmental compliance reports, etc.
