Job summary

6 Degrees Search seeks a Plant Manager to direct all Operations and Maintenance activities at the plant in California. Responsibilities include ensuring safe and compliant operation, coordinating manpower, tools, equipment, and spare parts, and aligning plant objectives with client requirements.

The role requires a BS in engineering and substantial power plant leadership experience, including supervising personnel, overseeing outages, and maintaining certifications.

Qualifications

• Education: BS in engineering or equivalent.
• 10 years of power plant or similar experience.
• 3 years supervising technical, supervisory, and administrative personnel.
• Gas turbine experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct the plant's Safety, Operations, NERC Compliance, Maintenance, Administrative, Training, Chemistry and Environmental QA/QC programs to assure safe, efficient operation.
• Manage and oversee the performance of planned and unplanned plant outages.
• Implement training and qualification programs to assure procedures are understood and followed by personnel.
• Conduct periodic reviews of plant policies and procedures.
• Direct the sourcing, screening and hiring of new or replacement personnel as needed.
• Verify that certification status of affected personnel is maintained current.
• Ensure morale and motivation of plant personnel is maintained at a high level.
• Oversee preparation of client and utility reports, budgets, environmental compliance reports, etc.
• Report to the Operations Director and supervise Plant Supervisors and Administrative Manager.
