Job summary

Santa Rosa Energy Center seeks an Operations & Maintenance Technician to safely operate and maintain a 1x1 combined-cycle plant in Florida. The role covers mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems, with emphasis on online troubleshooting, data recording, and adherence to safety and environmental regulations.

The position requires 2–4 years in power plant ops or maintenance, high school diploma, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in power plant operations or maintenance preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate/technical training preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of power plant operations and equipment.
• Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain power plant equipment with minimal supervision.
• Inspect systems and record data on temperature, vibration, pressure, and chemistry.
• Maintain and repair plant equipment and lubricate components.
• Conduct water chemistry analysis and adjust feed/blowdown rates.
• Use CMMS for work orders and documentation.
• Assist with outage planning and O&M procedures.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
