Job summary

Reworld Waste is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support our power generation facility. You will perform mechanical maintenance on rotating machinery, boilers, cranes, piping systems, and related equipment, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

Duties include disassembly, inspection, lubrication, welding, rigging, and fabricating parts; planning jobs from sketches and blueprints; and ensuring equipment operates efficiently.

Qualifications

• GED/HS Diploma or 5 years of related experience required.
• Experience with boilers, cranes, soot blowers, motors, turbines, condensers, and conveyors is a plus.
• Welding experience is a plus and indicates hands-on repair capability.

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide variety of mechanical repairs, PM’s, and fabrication, including pipefitting, rigging, assembly and disassembly of all plant equipment.
• Dismantles, overhauls, reassembles, and adjusts turbines, generators, boilers, pumps, valves, and auxiliary equipment.
• Inspects and lubricates plant equipment and makes adjustments to optimize performance.
• Performs heavy lifting and rigging; uses welding equipment for repair welding and piping work.
• Plans job details using sketches, blueprints, and complex drawings.
