Job summary

The City of Oxnard's Public Works Department is seeking a Power Production Operator to join our team. The role requires performing routine maintenance, operating power production equipment, and preparing reports with strong technical and customer service skills.

The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED and at least three years of related maintenance experience; a California Class C Driver’s License is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three years of related maintenance experience with vocational training (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains plant process and control equipment; adheres to safety policies.
• Performs scheduled preventative maintenance and services equipment per plans.
• Monitors equipment, troubleshoots issues, schedules repairs and completes logs.
• Prepares reports and maintains equipment history records.
