Job summary

AES in Guayama, PR, seeks an Instrument & Control Technician to troubleshoot, maintain and repair plant instrumentation, Distributed Control System (DCS), PLCs, CEMS and related equipment, safeguarding safe and efficient operations across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Instrumentation or Engineering preferred.
• 3+ years in industrial plant experience or a combination of power plant training and experience.
• Bilingual communication in English and Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair plant instrumentation and control systems.
• Test, calibrate and perform preventative maintenance on process instrumentation.
• Interpret P&ID's, loop sheets, schematics and update drawings as needed.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and vendors for safety and efficiency.
• Record work results in SAP and monitor work requests.
