Job summary
Xcel Energy’s Energy Supply Power Generation team is seeking an entry-level engineer to support electrical systems, provide technical support for equipment repairs, and contribute to design, procurement, and commissioning projects. You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Environmental, and Project teams to assure safe, reliable plant performance.
The role develops technical expertise in a focused specialty, with supervision and opportunities to lead small projects as proficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited curriculum.
- 0+ years relevant engineering experience.
- EIT/FE certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Uses technical standards, theories, concepts, and techniques for limited-scope activities.
- Develops technical documentation (designs, testing, calculations, reports, standards).
- Provides ongoing technical support for project activities (operations, maintenance, testing, regulatory).
- Coordinates or leads projects or portions of projects (design, equipment selection, procurement, installation, commissioning).
- Supports bid/evaluation processes with basic analysis and calculations.
- Communicates with internal and external stakeholders and vendors.
