Job summary

Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is seeking an Electrical/I&C Engineer (Power Operations) to support Coal, Gas and Hydro fossil plants. The role focuses on electrical/instrumentation and controls systems, with responsibilities spanning studies, troubleshooting, and project leadership at Kingston Fossil Plant.

Ideal candidates will have a BS in Electrical Engineering, PE preferred, and a track record in plant engineering, outages, and cross-discipline collaboration to optimize equipment

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Electrical Controls, Computer or comparable Engineering degree.
• Professional Engineer license desirable.
• Experience with electric power plant electrical/instrumentation and controls systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead studies to evaluate electrical/ I&C needs for Coal, Gas & Hydro fossil plants.
• Identify root causes and recommend optimal solutions.
• Serve as owner engineer for assigned projects and joint project teams.
• Prepare specifications, cost/benefit analyses and installation estimates for upgrades.
• Oversee outages and ensure proper documentation of plant configuration changes.
