Job summary

Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) seeks an Engineer, Electrical I&C (PO) to support electrical/instrumentation and controls for coal, gas, and hydro plants in the Knoxville region. The role involves evaluating current and future needs, troubleshooting complex plant equipment, and leading cross-discipline efforts to optimize reliability, safety and performance.

Ideal candidates will have a BS in Electrical Engineering (or related field), experience as a plant/field engineer, and a Professional

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Electrical Controls, Computer or comparable Engineering degree.
License as a Professional Engineer is desirable.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for Electrical/Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) equipment, systems and processes.
Perform studies to evaluate current and future electrical/instrumentation needs for Coal, Gas & Hydro plants.
Direct or conduct technical monitoring, analysis, and investigation of plant systems, processes, and equipment.
Initiate improvements, repairs, maintenance, modification and retrofit activity to optimize plant objectives.
Lead outage scoping and serve as technical advisor during planned and forced outages.
