Job summary

Evergy in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Power Plant Controls Engineer to provide technical responsibility for plant and turbine control systems across conventional generation projects. You will work with project managers and other engineers to ensure safe, timely, cost-effective delivery of multi-year, multi-disciplinary capital projects.

The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering, 4+ years in design/construction/maintenance of power plant controls, and hands-on experience with GE Mark VIe,

Qualifications

ABET-accredited engineering degree with 4+ years in power plant control systems
Willingness to work nights/weekends as needed
Experience in design, construction, or maintenance of control systems

Responsibilities

Support development, construction and commissioning of steam and combustion turbines
Provide engineering support to plant control system projects
Troubleshoot control system issues in operation
