Job summary

Ethos Energy is seeking an Operation and Maintenance Technician, Control Room Operator to be based in Wallingford, CT. The role involves operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting gas turbines, generators, demineralizers, pumps, and related equipment on a 12-hour rotating shift.

You will monitor, record data, and ensure safety/regulatory compliance across the facility. Required experience includes 2–4 years in a power plant environment, HS diploma (AA preferred), and strong

• Knowledge of all facets of power plant operations.
• Ability to make competent decisions in emergency situations.
• Capability to write operating procedures and records.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a simple cycle generating facility and related equipment.
• Make operating decisions based on procedures, safety rules, and plant data.
• Follow regulatory procedures and environmental permits.
• Inspect, maintain, and calibrate plant equipment and meters.
• Coordinate with vendors for repairs and part replacements.
• Assist with training and development programs for operators.
• Participate in outage planning and scheduling.
