Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Redmond, WA is seeking a Software Engineer on the Power Optimization team for Starlink. You will develop high-performance, safety-critical software that guides billions of daily satellite decisions and optimizes power and thermal usage.

You will own end-to-end lifecycle of code, build first-principles models, run simulations, and collaborate across disciplines to push hardware and software toward the physical limits while delivering reliable, scalable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or STEM discipline OR 3+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ or Rust (systems programming).
• Experience in production software environments where reliability and performance matter.

Responsibilities

• Write reliable ground and vehicle software to control thousands of satellites.
• Develop constellation optimization algorithms with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Design future satellite constellations: define requirements and simulations.
• Own the complete lifecycle of your code: development, testing, verification, rollout, monitoring.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality.
