Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a Planner Scheduler in York, PA to lead short-range planning and scheduling of field operations. You will analyze results, support process improvements, and drive efficiency within the work management system.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, familiarity with FEWS/SAP/GIS, and a strong emphasis on safety, coordination with crews, and timely communication with operations supervision.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology or related discipline plus 1–2 years related work experience; or 3 years’ experience in lieu of degree.
Experience with planning/scheduling/prioritizing of work and construction/maintenance practices.
Proficiency with PC software including Microsoft Office and systems like SAP, GIS, CREWS, FEWS, PowerOn, CAD/AutoCAD; knowledge of database query tools.

Responsibilities

Plan and schedule short-range operations, manage work queue, and assign resources.
Use FEWS to schedule and dispatch work and coordinate with crews.
Monitor progress, provide status updates and performance metrics to management.
