Job summary

AMD in Austin, TX seeks a dynamic Power IP and System Validation Engineer to drive post-silicon bring-up, characterization, and validation of analog/mixed-signal power-management IP for advanced AMD products. You will work at the intersection of silicon, firmware, and software with cross-functional teams to ensure IP performance and robust validation.

You are a detail-oriented systems engineer with strong analytical and debugging skills, able to drive complex issues to resolution and communicate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in electrical or computer engineering.
• Strong experience with post-silicon bring-up and validation.
• Experience with analog/mixed-signal IP on SoC platforms.
• Board-level and lab debugging skills and instrument proficiency.
• Familiarity with lab equipment: O-scope, analyzers, power supplies.
• Firmware development in C/C++ and Python scripting.
• Knowledge of RTL/SoC validation methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead post-silicon bring-up and validation of analog/mixed-signal PMIC IP.
• Develop characterization plans across voltage, frequency, temperature, and process.
• Analyze silicon data and tune IP parameters and curves.
• Develop firmware routines for IP operation during boot and power-state transitions.
• Collaborate with design, firmware, validation and production teams to resolve findings.
